This is a set of 6 teaspoons made of sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) in London, England, in 1931.
The front features the traditional "Old English Pattern," which fits comfortably in the hand, and the back of the bowl is decorated with a three-dimensional shell relief (shell back) that was popular during the 18th-century Georgian period. The design, which can be glimpsed when placed in a cup or brought to the mouth, embodies the subtle aesthetic sense characteristic of British silverware.
