1900 British Antique Sterling Silver Chatelaine Case George Unite
SKU: 171824610
A chatelaine is a belt that can be attached to a belt and worn around the waist.
Women's clothes at that time did not have pockets, so they wore pens and sewing tools in this way.
This is a work by the George Unite workshop in Birmingham, England in 1900.
George Unite is a master craftsman who has left many elegant silver products with botanical patterns.
The thickness is too narrow to put modern glasses, but I think that thin items such as scissors and combs will fit.
It is a very beautiful item with fine hand-carved scroll sculpture.
It has a nice oxidized silver finish, so I left it as it is without polishing.
If you polish it, it will become shiny, so if you wish, I will polish it and give it to you.
