1902 British Antique Sterling Silver Chatelaine Glasses Case

A chatelaine is something that is worn on a belt and hung around the waist, and is one of the jewelry worn by noblewomen.
Women's clothes at the time did not have pockets, so they carried pens, sewing tools, and other items in this way.
This is a 1902 work by the Saunders & James workshop in London, England.
The entire piece is decorated with a hammer-tone embossed pattern, and the clip and chain are also made of sterling silver.
It's too narrow to fit modern glasses, but I think thin items like scissors or combs will fit.
