This is the work of Martin Hall, Birmingham, England, around 1880.
It is a set of 5 pairs of knives and forks, but some of them are made by "Allen and Darwin".
The design is exactly the same, so it may have been made with the same design to fill the shortage.
It is a combination of a beautifully shaped sterling silver blade with a beautifully shaped white pearl oyster handle.
A wooden tray is included.
