This is a work by JHC, Birmingham, England, made in 1949.
This beautiful cigarette case features a geometric pattern called engine turn and is decorated with two-tone gold roses.
It can hold cigarettes up to about 7.5 cm in length, and its simple box shape means it can also be used as a pill case or for storing small items.
The gold plating inside is still intact, and it is in excellent condition with little signs of use.
