SKU: 202403294185
Introducing an antique sterling silver vinaigrette.
Vinaigrette is a French word meaning "vinegar," and is the name given to the small containers used to hold flavoring salts.
This is a work by John Shaw of Birmingham, England, from 1819 .
Both lids and the inner lid are beautifully carved and the entire exterior and interior are gold plated.
Sponges thought to be from that time still remain, and the item is in such good condition that it is hard to believe it is over 200 years old.
We hope this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you!
