A small portable water bottle, also called a hip flask or flask bottle.
This is a work by James Dixon and Sons, Sheffield, England, circa 1895.
There is a stamp on the sterling silver cover indicating that it was given as a commemorative gift in 1895.
There are no decorations on the silver or glass parts, but the design is simple and tasteful.
