1901 British antique scroll engraved sterling silver card case 68g WILLIAM M. HAYES
SKU: 202505105327
We would like to introduce a British antique, pure silver card case.
This is a work by "WILLIAM M. HAYES" from Birmingham, England, made in 1901.
Delicate decorations, such as antique-style scroll patterns, are applied all over the surface.
The cartouche is engraved with a monogram that appears to be the initials of the first owner.
There is a crack near the side of the lid near the tip, but it doesn't affect the functionality and I don't think the crack will spread any further.
It's sized to easily accommodate current business cards and can hold more than 15 of them.
I hope this "once-in-a-lifetime" encounter will lead to a special meeting!
