Introducing a vintage American decanter set.

This technique, known as silver overlay, involves covering the surface of glass with pure silver decorations, and was popular in America from the late 19th century to the early 20th century.
This is a set of a decanter and four small cups that appears to date from around the early 20th century.
The decanter is beautifully decorated with a silver overlay on a beautiful cobalt glass body, and features a floating gondola scene.
Although the silver is a little thin in some areas, this is a very beautiful decanter set.
