Circa 1900 British antique silver plate breakfast dish, no inner plate, George Goodfellow
SKU: 202506285461
We would like to introduce you to antique British breakfast dishes.
This piece was made by George Goodfellow & Sons in London, England, circa 1900.
This item is called a breakfast dish, for warming up breakfast dishes such as bacon and eggs, and can be opened by holding the ivory handle and twisting the lid.
There would have originally been a plate inside to hold the food, but the plate is gone.
The top lid is beautifully decorated and the legs are antique-style animal cabriolet legs.
It is missing the inner tray so it cannot be used as intended, but the decorations and other items are in very good condition.
How about using it as a case to store sweets, small items, etc.?
We hope this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you!
