This cup is called a christening cup.
It seems that it was given as a birth gift for children born into aristocratic or wealthy families.

This work was created by John Evans II in London, England in 1854.
The sides have four cartouches, two of which are decorated with beautifully carved floral ornamentation.
The overall shape is beautiful, the gold plating inside is well preserved, and it is in good condition.
