This work was created by Thomas Marples of Sheffield, England in 1913.
It is a folding penknife with a mother-of-pearl handle and a pure silver blade, and is relatively large for a penknife.
The pure silver blade is not engraved, but the pure silver part between it and the handle is decorated.
The mother-of-pearl handle is not engraved, but its rounded teardrop shape shines beautifully when you change the angle.
