We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver cigarette case.

Made by IJ Evens & Co., Birmingham, England, 1902.
Both sides are decorated with hand-engraved botanical scroll motifs, and the cartouche on the lid is monogrammed with the initials of the first owner.
It has an unusual mechanism that allows the top lid and the entire container to open in two stages.
It can hold cigarettes up to about 75mm in length.

- There is some wear and tear, scratches on the corners, and dents due to age, but it has been well maintained.
The gold plating on the inside is still intact. The rubber inside has stretched and become loose, but it still functions.
- The interior is hallmarked by the British Assay Service to guarantee sterling silver.
Opening and closing is smooth and there is no rattle in the hinges.
