A first day cover is a collectible item that has a stamp and postmark of the date of release stamped on it when a new stamp is released, and is also called an FDC (First Day Cover).
This FDC was issued in 1976 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II's participation in the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of American independence.
The set includes a commemorative stamp sheet with a postmark of the release date and a commemorative medal made of 1 troy ounce pure silver.
Two unused stamps are included.
