1821 British Antique Mother-of-Pearl Handle, Pure Silver Blade Penknife by Thomas Nowill
SKU: 202508305685
We would like to introduce a folding penknife from the British antique period.
A penknife is a small knife used to sharpen the tips of quill pens and other writing instruments.
It seems like it could be used to sharpen pencils or as a letter opener.
This is a work by "Thomas Nowill" from Sheffield, England, made in 1821.
This is a folding penknife with a white mother-of-pearl handle and a pure silver blade.
The pure silver blade features delicate carvings, and shell-shaped parts are attached under the white mother-of-pearl handle.
The preservation condition is so good that you wouldn't believe it was built more than 200 years ago.
I hope this "once-in-a-lifetime" encounter will lead to a special meeting for you!
