Shipable areas: UK, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore
We would like to introduce you to a French soup plate.
This is a pair of French hard ware soup plates from the late 19th century.
There is a stamp on the bottom, but this does not appear to be from a pottery manufacturer, but rather from the Parisian luxury porcelain store "Louis Chanut." The other one says "E. PRIMARD," but since the address is the same, it is likely from the same series made by the store that took over from "Louis Chanut."
The realistic insects and flowers are painted asymmetrically in the "Japonisme style," which is thought to have been influenced by the "Rousseau Service" that was popular in France in the late 19th century.
This plate is made of soft cream-colored hard ceramic and features beautiful, intricate and vibrant coloring.
We hope that this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you.
