This piece was made around 1887 by MAPPIN & WEBB, a luxury jewelry store that was a supplier to the British Royal Family.
The conical body is decorated with delicate plant carvings, and the finial on the lid is designed with a thistle bud.
It is plated using the highest quality silver plating technique developed exclusively by Mappin & Webb called "PRINCE'S PLATE", and is in beautiful condition with no peeling of the plating.

Although there is wear over time, the plating is not peeling and it is in good condition.
The interior is discolored with brown, but it is not rust and has been thoroughly cleaned.
