We would like to introduce you to an antique British sterling silver Vesta case.
A vestal case was a small match holder from that time, with a match file attached to the bottom.
Made by Jones & Crompton, Birmingham, England, 1895.
The entire surface is hand-carved with delicate scroll and acanthus leaf patterns by artisans of the time.
The case itself has a wavy, uneven shape that not only reflects light in complex ways, but also has a practical beauty that fits comfortably in your fingertips when you hold it.
We hope this once-in-a-lifetime encounter will be a special one for you!
