This Jasperware mini-plate was produced by the prestigious British company Wedgwood to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the founder's birth (1980).
Against a calm, pale blue background, Aquarius, one of the twelve zodiac constellations, is delicately rendered in relief. The laurel wreath decoration adorning the rim is also beautiful, condensing the elegance of classical decoration into a palm-sized piece.
