Circa 1911 Elgin Pocket Watch, Mechanical, 58mm Diameter, 18-Size, Alloy Case, Good Working Condition

This is an 18-size pocket watch from Elgin, manufactured in 1911, embodying the spirit of good old America.

The crisp Arabic numerals, a style known as "railroad watches" used in the railroad industry of the time, are complemented by the elegant blued hands. Inside the sturdy silveroid case, there's a 15-jewel movement (Grade 317) adorned with delicate wavy damascene patterns and floral engraving. While there are repair marks and hairline cracks on the dial between the 7 and 8 o'clock positions, and minor age-related scratches on the exterior, its appearance faithfully tells the story of over a hundred years.

Although the overhaul history is unknown, the balance wheel swings well and it is ticking energetically.
