c. 1893 American Antique Sterling Silver Pill Box/Trinket Box, 25g, S. Kirk & Son

This is a silver small case (pill case/trinket box) made in 1893 by "S. Kirk & Son," one of America's oldest and most prestigious silversmiths.

The lid is covered in a three-dimensional and intricate floral design created using the "repoussé" (chased metalwork) technique, which is the company's signature style. The fine stippling on the background creates shadows that beautifully accentuate the deep, rich luster unique to silver. The base features an elegant monogram and the year "1893" engraved by hand.

While perfect as a pill case, it is also ideal as a portable jewelry case for storing precious rings. Even just resting on a dresser, it adds a touch of elegant refinement to your everyday space.

Although there are minor scuffs consistent with age, there are no noticeable dents or warping, and the hinge opens and closes smoothly, keeping the piece in excellent condition.
