This double-opening sterling silver card case was made in 1909 by Walker & Hall, one of Britain’s distinguished silversmiths..
Both sides are covered with flowing botanical scrollwork, meticulously hand-engraved by a skilled artisan with no space left unadorned.. The bright-cut technique, which reflects light in multiple directions by varying the angle of the engraving tool, gives the case an elegant sparkle in your hand.Inside, it has a pocket of understated brown leather and a sterling silver pencil stamped “STERLING.”.
The memo board originally fitted in the center has been removed, leaving a clean, uncluttered interior with ample room for business cards, other cards, or folded banknotes. There are minor scuffs and very slight dents at the corners from age, but the clasp opens and closes smoothly. This is a beautiful piece that will complement today’s business and cashless lifestyles..
